In case you missed it, the Disinformation Governance Board is now part of the Department of Homeland Security (a private presidential police force which should have been disbanded years ago as it serves no good purpose but does have a sh*t ton of ammo ~ Kelly). It was sneakily announced 27 April 2022 during a 2023 budget hearing before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security. The focus of the department will include disinformation targeted at irregular migrants by human smugglers, and election interference by nations including Russia. The Disinformation Governance Board will “protect privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties” as part of its duties DHS said in a statement.
OMG – she loves herself sooo much.

Nina Jankowicz was named executive director. She was previously a “disinformation” fellow, whatever that means, at the progressive Wilson Center, has advised the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry as part of the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship, and oversaw Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democratic Institute serving as executive director. Just a quick glance at her self-regarding, patronizing smug presentations reveals a classic liberal narcissist who thinks we’re all stupid. She is a slavish follower of the liberal zeitgeist and has covered for the Biden Administration by loudly refusing to accept Trump was innocent of Russian conspiracy accusations, and for falsely pushing the narrative that the Hunter Biden laptop was “fake news”.
You may remember she also suggested, just before the 2020 election that social media was to blame for the Gov. Whitmer kidnapping plot.
She said of the announcement: “Here’s my official portrait to grab your attention. Now that I’ve got it: a HUGE focus of our work, and indeed, one of the key reasons the Board was established, is to maintain the Dept’s committment (sic) to protecting free speech, privacy, civil rights, & civil liberties.”
She does love to lecture us in her best salutatorian manner.

Remember the book 1984? Well now we’re living it.
The Ministry of Truth, the Ministry of Peace, the Ministry of Love, and the Ministry of Plenty are the four ministries of the government of Oceania in the 1949 dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, by George Orwell. The use of contradictory names in this manner may have been inspired by the British and American governments; during the Second World War, the British Ministry of Food oversaw rationing and the Ministry of Information restricted and controlled information, rather than supplying it; while, in the U.S., the War Department was abolished and replaced with the “National Military Establishment” in 1947 and then became the Department of Defense in 1949, right around the time that Nineteen Eighty-Four was published.
